Lily Allen has revealed that she joined the Mile High Club with a legendary musician.

The star, who is known for being brutally honest with her thoughts, opened up about a steamy "seven-hour fling" with a British 90's legend after the two bumped into each other in the airport lounge.

The pair were allegedly off to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival in 2009 when they ran into each other and got to talking.

But who is the dashing gentleman in question?

It was none other than Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher.

Speaking of the interaction in her 2018 memoir titled 'My Thoughts Exactly', she recalled the risqué encounter above the clouds.

After she bumped into the 51-year-old, the pair ended up getting "hammered" before things got hot and heavy in the aircraft's bathroom stall.

Writing in her book, Allen explained: "At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together."

And Gallagher allegedly continued trying his luck, asking her to join him at his hotel when they eventually touched down in Tokyo.Credit: Chase Jarvis/Getty

During an appearance on British talk show The Big Narstie Show in 2019, the singer recalled the experience once again, branding it just a "seven-hour fling."

"You know, we met in the lounge before we got on the plane and you know, got quite drunk and then... yeah," she told the hosts.

When asked about who made the first move, the 39-year-old responded: "It was the Champagne Supernova in the sky!"

Allen may be able to laugh at the encounter now, but things got a bit messy at the time after finding out that the rockstar was actually married to Nicole Appleton.

"It wasn't until when he said something like, ‘No one can hear about this because of Nic,’ that I clocked he was married," she wrote in her memoir.

She continued: "I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I fancied him. I’d grown up an Oasis fan. I was 12 when he and Patsy Kensit were on the cover of Vanity Fair as the coolest couple."

The chaos was cranked up a notch after Gallagher allegedly pleaded with her to keep their fling a secret, but she ultimately refused.

Initially, though, she did deny the claims, as per an interview with The Guardian.

When asked about the headlines at the time advertising their intimate connection, she said: "I mean, I haven’t said one thing [to suggest that]. I literally have never said anything.

"Nine years ago, they first tried to print this story, and I didn’t say anything then," she explained to the outlet. "And now Nicole Appleton, bless her, she’s reacted to it [Appleton tweeted: One day our paths will cross @lilyallen!]. So that’s made it seem real. Now my Twitter feed is: ‘Oh, stupid attention seeker, she just wants another minute in the limelight.’ But I literally haven’t said anything. I haven’t even liked a tweet. Nothing.”

Six months later, the truth came out and Allen allegedly came clean to Appleton who wasn't best pleased.

That wasn't the end of their marriage though as the All Saints member stayed with the Oasis singer until 2013 after another scandal that saw Gallagher having a child with US journalist Liza Ghorbani.
