Alicia Keys' husband - music icon Swizz Beatz - has responded to his wife's Super Bowl performance after fans called out Usher for his "inappropriate" dancing.

On Sunday night, sports fans around the world tuned in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs emerge victorious against the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII.

Additionally, music fans tuned in to watch pop sensation Usher take to the stage for the prestigious Super Bowl Halftime Show.

As well as delighting the crowd with a medley of his biggest hits, Usher surprised viewers with several guest appearances - including 43-year-old Alicia Keys.

However, as the pair performed their classic hit 'My Boo', several viewers were left rather distracted by how close the musicians were getting on stage - with 45-year-old Usher embracing Keys with a hug from behind. Check out the moment below:

Viewers quickly took to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to call out Usher for his moves - especially because Keys is married to Swizz Beatz (real name Kasseem Daoud Dean).

One user remarked: "I'd be hot [as f***] if I was Swizz Beatz... Usher was all up on Alicia Keys," with a second asking: "Does Usher know Alicia Keys is a married woman??"

"The way Usher was holding Alicia Keys was hella inappropriate IMO," a third tweeted.

Others even thought Usher and Keys must have been in a relationship with each other, with one X user writing: "The way I had to look up if Alicia Keys is still married after this."

But despite fan concerns, Swizz Beatz has not only praised his wife's performance - but also shut down any critics of the hug.

"We're focusing on the wrong d*** thing," Swizz declared, per the Daily Mail. "Can't y'all see that stunning dress lighting up the whole stadium?"

Acknowledging the outstanding performance of "two amazing giants," he congratulated Usher and his partner Alicia Keys. "That song is a classic," he affirmed.

Emphasizing positivity, he stated, "We don't do negative vibes on this side. We make history."

Encouraging fans to explore their artistic endeavors, he concluded by directing them to visit their art exhibit, "Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys," currently showcased at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

In response to his supportive post, Instagram users praised Swizz for having his wife's back, with one person writing: "A man supporting his woman, not dimming her light or making her feel small, is a secure man! Love to see it!"

A second wrote: "That’s a king for his queen."

So there you have it! Performers (and long-term friends) like Keys and Usher are always going to put on the best possible show, and there's certainly no bad blood here.
