Reports state that the movie was originally supposed to be a television series - presumably for Disney+ - but this was reworked into the upcoming movie. Bob Iger Iger confirmed the news earlier today in a CNBC interview before the Disney studio’s Q1 earnings.
The first Moana film - directed by Ron Clements and John Musker - made waves upon its release (excuse the pun), winning hearts with its vibrant animation, memorable soundtrack, and empowering narrative.
Set in the lush landscapes of the Pacific Islands, the story follows the courageous and determined Moana as she embarks on a daring journey to save her people and discover her true destiny.
