Viewers have been left in floods of tears and emotionally spent after watching Netflix's latest series -- but they're still urging others to watch.

Check out the trailer for the new series below:

After debuting on Netflix on February 8, the new series - based on David Nicholls' bestselling novel - promises to be an exciting and emotional rollercoaster.

The series follows the characters of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew as they cross paths on July 15, 1988, on the night of their graduation. As uni comes to an end, Emma and Dex share a fleeting moment that sets the stage for their intertwined futures.

Set against the backdrop of this significant date, each episode of One Day explores where Emma and Dex find themselves on the same day in subsequent years. From the highs of companionship to the lows of heartbreak, viewers are taken on a journey through their evolving relationship.

Starring Ambika Mod as Emma and Leo Woodall as Dex - alongside Essie Davis, Tim McInnerny, Amber Grappy, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Joely Richardson, and Toby Stephens - One Day brings to life the compelling tale of two individuals navigating life's twists and turns.

And the show has already left audiences and critics impressed, earning an incredible 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, given the characters' stirring story, it is no surprise that viewers have been left emotional wrecks after watching the series - as many took to X to share their thoughts on One Day.

|This show crept into my life when I randomly pressed play for some background television, took a hold of my heart, promised me a gentle story of growth, change and finding your people, then speedily ripped out my heart," one person tweeted. "Some brilliant storytelling."

"Turned on a random show on Netflix to fall asleep to... ended up binge-watching the entire series. One Day on Netflix... had me in my damn feelings like never before....sheesh," a second wrote.

"I just watched One Day on Netflix… I’m sick to my stomach," another added, with one X user adding: "I’m sorry for the people that went into this show not knowing anything [...] I know they sick to their stomach [right now]."

The ending also left people a total mess. "I need financial compensation for that entire last episode of One Day… Netflix headquarters my lawyers will be in contact," one person wrote.

"This ending has actually broken my heart. Like my chest physically hurts," another added.

And the memes kept coming:

With 14 episodes, each approximately 20 minutes long, not only does One Day promise to captivate audiences with its poignant storytelling - but it is also perfect for binge-watching over a weekend.

In an interview with Netflix's Tudum, Mod expressed her excitement about the project and her chemistry with co-star Leo Woodall.

"I was waiting for a while to find out who my Dexter would be, and was very happy when it was Leo," Mod shared. The pair's off-screen connection translated seamlessly on-screen, creating authentic and compelling performances.

Woodall echoed Mod's sentiments, recalling their initial meeting that quickly evolved into a bonding experience over drinks. "We met up for a coffee that obviously then turned into a gin and tonic instead," he quipped, highlighting the instant chemistry between the two.

One Day is now available to stream on Netflix... just make sure you have the tissues ready.
