A woman says she discovered her boyfriend was being unfaithful to her while in the delivery room - mere hours after giving birth to their baby.
The woman, who goes by @aubrecita on TikTok, shared the story with her audience on the app - and the resulting video has since gone viral.
“Feeding my hours-old baby in the hospital, the nurses had asked me to record the times that he ate so I grab my sleeping boyfriend’s phone to check the time,” she wrote in the video.
The TikToker then shared a screenshot from her boyfriend's phone with a suspicious text message from another woman - named Marissa.
The text was asking the @aubrecita's boyfriend to come cuddle with her. To make matters even worse, the background on her boyfriend's phone was a very wholesome photo of their newborn baby.
“I know — I can’t believe he let his battery get that low either,” she captioned the video, which has racked up a staggering 8.6 million views since it was posted less than a week ago.
@aubrecita has taken to the comments to the video to clarify some details in the story, explaining that she and the baby's father have since broken up and that the incident actually took place nine years ago.
Also, the woman who texted her boyfriend was totally unaware that he was in another relationship - not to mention that he had recently had a baby.
“Honestly Marissa was innocent she didn’t know!!!” @aubrecita wrote. “Plus he was texting like 3 other girls so she was getting played too”.
Needless to say, the video has attracted thousands of comments, with many sharing their own stories.
“I found out on Christmas morning 2 months after our twins were born,” one person said. “He never lets his phone leave his hand, I guess I got lucky”.
“Mine walked out the room every hour to update some girl I didn’t even know,” another commenter said.
A third person wrote: “As a Marissa, we do NOT claim her.”
In a similar story, also documented on TikTok, a woman found out that her ex had been cheating as he was proposing to her.
Taking to the video-sharing platform, a woman named Tiffany Lyn opened up about a traumatic experience with her ex that saw her needing thousands and thousands of dollars of therapy after it happened.
Tiffany was head-over-heels for her ex, CJ, and when he was finally proposing to her after two years of being together, she was over the moon.
Little did she know, just as he was set to get down on one knee and pop the big question, she would discover that he hadn't been entirely faithful to her.
Recalling the story to her TikTok followers, she said: "I found out my fiance was cheating on me right in the middle of his proposal to me, like literally as he was proposing."
"One day he decided to surprise me [and] took me to Orlando for a little bit of fun at the amusement parks..." she continued before explaining that her ex voluntarily participated in Fear Factor Live - a competition that tests people on their mental and physical strength in front of a live audience at Universal Studios.
Approximately halfway through the show, he publicly asked Tiffany if she would marry him, but as she was holding his phone and recording his declaration, she saw a text come in that read: "Fine, go ahead and marry her. She’s the safe choice for you," which was then followed by a less than flattering critique of his most recent sexual performance.
Big yikes.
Of course, the TikToker was devastated to find out that her other half had been cheating on her the entire time they were together.
