Sabrina Carpenter has just dethroned Taylor Swift with her new hit, 'Espresso'.

The 24-year-old star may have just released her new track two weeks ago, but it has already made a dramatic impact on us all - so much so that it's managed to knock the current Queen of Pop, Taylor Swift, from her throne.

That's right, it was recently announced that Carpenter, who has garnered a secure fanbase after releasing 'Nonsense' and 'Feather', earned her first number-one hit on Global Spotify, knocking the 34-year-old (along with Post Malone who features on the track) from the top spot.

While Swift may be now holding onto the number two spot, it won't bother her too much considering she's also secured spots three and four with songs from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

'Down Bad' and 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart' have been dominating the Spotify charts, helping the 'Love Story' singer keep her place as the most streamed female artist on the platform.

But hey, you've got to commend Carpenter for her efforts, right?

The former 'Girl Meets World' actress has been on a steady climb to fame after gaining traction for her catchy hits on social media.

Not only is she inventive with her risqué lyrics, but her style has also been recognized as another defining quality about her - I mean, those glitter heart-filled one-pieces she wears? They're to die for!

And now she's managed to snag herself a number-one hit, while she's at it.

'Espresso' is all about someone being addicted to you and it's filled with funny and charismatic lines such as: "Now he's thinkin' 'bout me every night, oh / Is it that sweet? I guess so / Say you can't sleep, baby, I know / That's that me, espresso / Move it up, down, left, right, oh / Switch it up like Nintendo."

Speaking of the tune, which is definitely an anthem for Hot Girl Summer 2024, she told Apple Music that she wrote it while she was in France.

"There was something really exciting about the fact that there was so much personality throughout the entire song, because those are the ones that are really, really fun to sing live with a crowd," she said.

She continued: "Those are the ones that people, I think when they don't know my music or who I am or anything, they can just tune in to a single song and kind of leave with a better idea of my sense of humor."

Carpenter stated that she was really feeling herself in the moment and that's what brought the hit to life.

"This was one of those times in my life where it was just like, I just thought I was the s*** in the moment. And I think you don't always feel that way, so you kind of have to capture those moments that you do..."

The 24-year-old also stated that her real-life caffeine addiction made the song that little bit more fun and relatable.

"For me, equating it to caffeine and that addiction was really fun and I definitely have a caffeine addiction as it is. So it really ends up being a full circle for me," she concluded.

Congratulations to Sabrina Carpenter!
