Truck drivers for Taylor Swift's current Eras Tour are set to be rewarded handsomely for their efforts, to the tune of six figures.

The 33-year-old megastar is currently wrapping up the US leg of her behemoth tour, which will continue on into Mexico next week. And, before a recent gig in Santa Clara, CA, bonus cheques of $100,000 were handed out to the drivers who have been driving the huge loads of production equipment needed to make each spectacular happen every night.

Just for reference, there are believed to be roughly 50 truckers on staff for the US tour, meaning Swifty just shelled out a cool $5 million in bonuses, according to TMZ sources.

The Bad Blood star will bring the US tour to an end with a series of concerts at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, just outside Los Angeles, next week. Domestic sales for the series of shows across the country are believed to have topped out at over $1 billion in sales. When the world tour finally comes to a close in London on August 17, 2024, it could easily be the highest-grossing tour of all time.

And it's not only truck drivers who are receiving bank balance-boosting bonuses either.

TMZ reports that band members, dancers, lighting and sound technicians, and caterers among other staff are all being rewarded with a "very generous amount" for their substantial efforts during the monster tour.

The Eras tour has been described by Swift as a journey through all of her musical eras and is the 33-year-old's second stadium tour following 2018's Reputation tour.

Eras will eventually take in 131 concerts across five countries, beginning in Glendale, AZ, this past March and concluding in London at Wembley Stadium next August. Each show is three hours and 44 songs long, being split into 10 distinct acts aimed at portraying Swift's albums conceptually.

Across America, Eras has already been heralded as an unprecedented success, providing major boosts to local economies, elevating businesses and tourism nationwide. Ticket sales records have been broken worldwide, with venues across the planet setting new records for live shows off the back of the monumental demand for tickets.

Swift herself has been quick to show her appreciation for the fans that have turned out to each show as well as her fellow performers, tweeting after the Santa Clara gigs: "Really blows my mind that we have one last city on the US leg of The Eras Tour. Santa Clara this weekend was a partyyy, both crowds were so loud and rowdy. And I’ll never forget when Alana, Este and Danielle emerged wearing their gowns from the Bejeweled video. Loved every second of those shows and can’t wait for LA. Playing six shows at Sofi Stadium lets goooooo."

Haim and Gracie Abrams will be providing support for the upcoming shows at SoFi before the tour moves south of the border to Mexico, beginning with Foro Sol in Mexico City on Thursday, August 24, where Swift will perform four concerts before moving on to Argentina.
